Perhaps the most common question coming from people new to AirCrete is can I get it permitted? So to the point, you can not get alternative buildings permitted. The one exception is building a pole barn style structure with post or peers holding the roof up. The the walls are made with non-load-bearing cellular cement; aka AirCrete. You will have to contact your local building department and ask them if they will permit a non load bearing Cellular cement structure.
The next question is often where can I build an AirCrete structure that's not permitted? Many counties outside the cities do not have building permitting and inspection. The old world powers on the east cost are over regulated as is the techo- natzies on the west cost. If you find an area you like give the county a call and ask for the county building permit office phone number. If there is not one then most likely you have found free country and can build there almost as if this was America, home of the free. Its that simple to find out.
The third most asked question is then what are the work-abounds that I can use to build without a permit? This, of course, is a complex question and requires responsibility. Some common methods are:
- Don't ask, Don't tell and keep it hidden. If you don't have a "good-doggie-citizen" neighbors or you are remotely located then you might choose to just build out of site.
- Force a variance with he code department. Almost impossible.
- Many states have owner-builder exemptions for structures under 400 square feet. Ask if there are exemptions for sizes or owners.
- Claim you are building a small unoccupied shed or temporary structures. The may or may not require inspection, bus just requires a permit fee and a floor plan. These structures are not supposed to be lived in so you have to hide the plumbing until after inspection. Then you can finish it out and move in.
- Take legal responsibility without a lawyer. As lawyers are all officers of the court and will not help you. Its has been ruled in court many times that a permit can be issued and canceled and fined, but they can not interfere with natural life including shelter. You see you may currently falsely believe you are a 14 amendment U.S. citizen, property of the congress without rights (privileges), but the truth is something else all-together. American citizens, or state nations have rights and any interference is a prosecutable crime! They can go to jail for interfering with your building.
