The Tyler Workshops are a continuation of an ongoing student building project. Some aspects such as the foundation and arches are already completed. You will receive a Video Course to take home. This will serve as your course material and reference.

Clothing & Weather: Texas Weather Can be Somewhat Unpredictable. There has been an unusual amount of rain this year. Be prepared for potential rain. Bring a Pancho or rain coat.
We may adjust the daily schedule to avoid working in the rain or we may work in light rain. Some aspects of of building with AirCrete can not be completed in the rain.
Also, the ground is red mud and stains most anything when it rains. So wear work clothes & shoes that you can afford to ruin!
Meals are Not Provided: Tea, Water, Snacks are provided. Each Day We Will Break For Lunch around 12pm and you can drive into town and eat at a variety of restaurants withing 12 minuets drive. If you need to prepare meals onsite we have a sink and small stove available.
A very basic lunch of Rice & Beans will be available on site.
Work Schedule: From 9 am to 4 pm we will work with a 1 hour lunch break when you are ready. After this time you may choose to enjoy the local attractions for the remainder of the day, or you may choose to return & continue working.
Student First: This years workshop will be a new format. This is your workshop! I want you to get the most out of it. The course will be designed according to each students request for topics they wish to learn. We have an ongoing student dome project to gain dome building skills, we can cast rectangle walls, learn electric, plumbing basics, make AirCrete, ram earth, build a foam generator with the parts you bring, or discuss any topics you have in interest in.
The topics and skills will be customized for your needs!
Lodging (Not included):
Camping
You are also welcome to camp on the land; be prepared for rain. We have a shower and toilet available. This will be primitive camping. There are no formal campsites. You will have to pick a location & clear it. We have a guest bathroom & shower.
Hotels
There are a number of hotels to choose from in both Lindale & Tyler. The closest hotels are located at Loop 323 & HWY 69 North, Interstate 20 & HWY 69, Interstate 20 & Hwy 155. There are also Air BnB rooms in the area.
