Why use MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking ) charge controller?  Because it monitors the solar cell voltage and draws off the maximum power without overheating or pulling the panel voltage down.  Take a 30 volt, 10 amp solar cell for example. If you clamp it to a battery the voltage drops to 12.  So 12 volts X 10 amps = 120 watts.  With an MPPT the voltage stays at say 28, but you still get 10 amps.  28 x 10=280 watts!  This is why you use only an MPPT charger!  It's also great for thin-film solar cells.  It takes whatever voltage is available, steps the voltage up, and dumps it in the battery.  Inverters are best oversized by 20-50% and you should get one that can actually deliver the rated output power!!  Buying inverters that can be connected in parallel allows you to grow your solar system.  Inverters that can be connected in series allow you to have two 110 volt inverters and pull off 220 volts across them, but an autotransformer may be a better option if you can afford the extra power waste over night.

Welcome to the Rectangle AirCrete House!  Not everyone wants a round house where the furniture does not fit and every cabinet is highly custom and difficult to build.

Customers Only Building Slip Forms

Here is show how to build the slip forms from the most commonly available materials and using the most basic skills.  You can certainly build better forms using angle iron and wood or PVC sheets, but that would require more skills and tools.  You might choose to build these forms using the same methods as used in the block forms of the introduction to AirCrete course: https://tinygiantlife.biz/course/introduction-to-aircrete-video-course-temporary-link/

Video lesson

This section covers the process of putting the forms together as well as taking them apart and moving the forms up on top of the previous poured wall.  Basically, this is the process of building your walls.

Video lesson

No functional house is just a wall and a roof.  Install conduit for electric, water, and lights.

Video lesson

The roof is arguably the most important part of the house where 76% of all heat loss and gain occur.  Here we build a flat pueblo-style roof.  However, you can also place a double pitch conventional roof on top of the bond beam to have a "typical" looking house.

Video lesson

With Minor Modifications, you can add a Second Story to your house or a Conventional  Roof

About the Teacher

Dan

30 Year of working in construction I have built a lived in every type of normal & alternative building when I discovered AirCrete I knew this was something. A Structural insulating material that is non-toxic, fireproof, rot proof, and pest proof.

Now, I teach other people to build their own homes to free themselves. It's my hope that more people will choose to live a life of goodness and personal growth with meaning on their terms. Nothing moves us closer to freedom than having a paid-for home and a simplistic lifestyle of love & freedom.

  • I am taking your advise and starting small. Our pumphouse needs to be replaced, & based on the existing layout the Pueblo style using slip forms seems to be the best fit. But I have 2 questions. 1. I can’t find the video on using slip forms. 2. As it is a pumphouse we can not pour a traditional foundation, would the ringstyle (in the shape of a square) work in this application?

  • Hi Daniel,

I made a purchase and bought the physical hard drive for $200 on March 31st and 2 weeks later I still have not received any notifications about it being shipped yet. My order number is 0104509872
