AirCrete is no more expensive than super adobe or stabilized adobe (before buying tubes and bags to pack it in) and not much more expensive than buying truck loads of clay or sand to balance imperfect site soils to make cob. The majority of sites in the world just do not have the idea balance of clay sand and silt. Building with dirt is not "dirt cheap" as you might think unless your soil is perfect or your willing to do building maintenance monthly and annually. Natural earth build is more hard work and time consuming than aircrete. At the end of the day ANYTING you choose to build with, if done yourself, will be much much cheaper than having it build for you.
The Question is does your chosen building method give you a comfortable life and dependable shelter. Many times the old ways do not meet modern exceptions. With the right knowledge and combinations of ancient technologies we can build beautiful, comfortable, sustainable, healthy homes.
Comfort is key for modern lifestyles. Earthships, super adobe bag homes, adobe sounds amazing until you you build in humid, cold, or hot environments. These work great until the average temperature is high enough in the summer to make sleeping at night difficult or cold enough at night to freeze your pipe. If your willing to take what nature gives and live in discomfort then all natural building is fine. Take a look at the below data logged temperatures.
If you have a properly designed passive structure your indoor temperature will be within 4 degrees above the average during the summer and 4 below during the winter. So in this example 88 degrees may be the later summer air temperature inside, which is a to hot for most people to sleep. Throw in humidity and direct sun heat absorption and either one makes the house much more uncomfortable. Such that its nicer to sleep outside. This is why cooling and heating is almost always part of modern buildings. When it comes to paying for energy to adjust comfort nothing bests insulation. AirCrete provides this insulation. A perfect passive house must have both thermal mass like adobe/dirt and insulation to work well. There are AirCrete Earthships that have done this. However, this is almost never done because a passive design is more expensive up-font than air-conditioning and energy. So if you have to choose insulation or thermal mass, then insulation is the best choice. There are hybrids of modern and ancient technologies like using live solar power and air conditioning to store cooling it thermal mass like walls, cement slabs, or insulated water tanks while the sun is shining. This greatly reduces battery expense.
Toxicity, is a problem for modern building materials and put stress on the immune system. Most modern homes have more than 100 toxic chemical in the air. AirCrete is non toxic, especially when finished with lime or cement plasters. Immune compromised and health conscience people want a clean place to live.

Sometimes travel is hard and its hard to break free. Life is busy.
So now we are offering this service within the United States and it's territories.
What does it take to make this happen? For the same price the big box stores charge for an uninsulated storage building, about $34** per Square foot we will build it for you.
The difference between a storage shed and an AirCrete? The AirCrete Structure is insulated so it can easily be heated and cooled.
What do you get? A rectangular Building Up to 256 Square Feet of Unoccupied Storage space with 4 plugs and 1 light, one window, and one 32 inch door, no interior walls. We are not building a house plumed and wired house for this price. What you do with that building is your business. Any permitting, if required, is your responsibility, but we can assist with the process. In the end you get a building that is superior to the shells sold for storage buildings; thicker insulated walls.
Domes, Cylinders, and Arches cost $50** per square foot, Domes are limited to 16 feet in diameter. Arches are limited to 16 foot wide but may be longer.
Workshops at your location: Larger buildings are not possible for workshops due to time constraints. Building cost will be offset at 50% of the price charged for students. If enough people attend it could cover the cost. If no one attends your pay the full cost.
Non-Workshop Builds: Structure size is not limited for rectangle buildings and any number of options can be negotiated. However, larger structures may not be accepted if the time to build them is to much. I am not trying to live apart from my family for long periods of time. We can build in AirCrete, lumber frame, cast earth and AirCrete Earthship, but prices change according to material and time cost.
Ultimately this is intended as a learning experience to empower your learning and ability to do it your self. We do have one customer who has us build one structure per year and is nearing a complete court yard house made of multiple connecting structures. This has worked well for their budget and our family time.
The minimum fee is $3000 plus gas/air-fare, lodging, and materials for buildings smaller than 256 SqFt. **Prices subject to change without notice due to changes in material pricing. he
Initial non-refundable 1 hour phone consult fee required to discuss your plans and desires and to schedule your event. This fee will be deducted from the total. This is for you if you intend to move forward and have a building made for you. General Questions can be asked at the bottom of this page.
